Director ,Screenwriter
Tawfik Abu Wael (born January 25, 1976 in the Palestinian town of Um El-Fahim in Israel) is a film director and screenwriter.
He is residing in Tel Aviv since 1996.
Education:
2000 Graduated from Tel- Aviv University with a degree in film directing.
Alongside of directing and screenwriting he’s been teaching and lecturing cinema in Schools of Art and Academic Colleges, he was a mentor for Palestinians screenwriters and directors in making the BBC internet series “Dandara” (30 episodes) and was a creative consultant for the Israeli Cinema Funds.
Tawfik is currently working on the pre-production of his feature fiction film “Wise Hassan” (director, screenwriter), which received the production investment of the ‘Israel Film Fund’ and is about to be shot in September-October 2020.
He is also working on the development of “Claws of Paradise” (screenwriter, director) – a Television Series.
