Shira Florentin

Screenwriter, script editor, and drama developer for television in Israel and abroad.

Shira is currently writing an original drama series for SKY UK, in collaboration with the production company BAD WOLF.
She has previously written and developed projects for leading broadcasters such as yes, HOT, and Kan 11.

Her notable credits include writing for the second season of Malkot (HOT), The Man Who Wanted to Know Everything (Kan 11), and developing series such as The Last Kapo (Endemol Shine), Batya Dekalim (HOT, Endemol Shine), Expert Hunter (yes, Endemol Shine), Shelter Boys (HOT, No Drama), and Police Academy (HOT, Koda).

Shira is a graduate of the full program at the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem. She received the class’s Promising Talent Award, as well as the Best Screenplay and Audience Choice awards at the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival.

In addition to her work as a screenwriter, Shira serves as a script editor and head writer. She has also taken part in research, casting, and production management roles in a variety of television projects, including the documentary series The Motive (Netflix), the film Because You Are Ugly by Sharon Angelhart, and several short films that screened at international festivals.

Since 2020, she has been heading a department at Far Beyond, a nonprofit that supports the integration of young people into Israel’s cultural and creative industries.
