Sharon Bar Ziv

Sharon Bar Ziv is an award-winning writer and director. He graduated from the Department of Film and Television of Tel Aviv University. Began his career as an actor in the Israeli National Theatre, and wrote screenplays for popular TV shows. His first feature Room 514 (2012) won in Tribeca a special director award and was selected to Cannes, Rotterdam, Warsaw, Karlovy Vary and 35 more. It was distributed by ‘The Party Film’ (international), Sophie Dulac (France), Film Movement (USA) and was purchased by the New York Library Reserves film collection.
His second film, Good Morning Son premiered internationally at the Haifa Film Festival (2019), was distributed in the US, and won a special award from the German Film Association at the Mannheim Festival. Wild Urge (2023/English language/post) was shot in Europe, by an international Crew. He is going to shoot (2024) a new film in Germany (supported by the MDM). The film The Jewish Girl is based on the story of his family in 1943.
