Daphna Mamann

Screenwriter, playwright, and lyricist.

Daphna holds an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU and a B.A. in Film and Television from Tel Aviv University.

She has developed, written, and edited television series for children, teens, and adults, including The Eight, The Island, Schulz, The Movers, The Nerd Club, The Dreamers, Schuster & Schuster, and The Embassy. Her series How To Save Your Marriage (co-created with Olivier Laneurie) was selected in 2023 for the Israel–France residency at the Series Mania Festival.

She has written theme song lyrics and original songs for The Nerd Club, The Missing, La La Land, The Creamboys, and for Guri Alfi’s musical show at the Piano Festival.

Her plays and musicals have been presented and developed at festivals and residencies in the U.S., including 92Y, Walking Shadow Readers Theatre, and HERE Arts Center. Her songs have also been performed in cabaret shows at 54 Below, the Musical Theatre Factory, and Berklee’s Curtain Up program.
