Education
1989-92:  Graduated Film and Television at Tel Aviv University.

Work Experience

1993-97: Co-creator and director of “The Chamber Quintet”, a Five-season satire TV show. Considered as one of the best and original TV shows in Israel.  Winner of the bronze rose award at “The Rose d’Or TV Festival” 1998. 6 episodes aired on “Arte” in 1999.

1997-98: Director of 4 episodes of “End of the Orange Season”, a documentary series about the history of Israeli rock music.

1999-2003: Co-creator and director of “The Bourgeoisie”, a 3 seasons drama series.

2000: Co-creator and director of “This Is Our Land”, a satirical show with Shai Goldstein and Dror Raphael.

2004: Director of “What Are You Talking About”. 50 min. tv drama.

2004-05: Director of “Dovale Olamy”, a parody – travel show

2005-06: Consultant and partner in development at “Matar Plus-Productions” involved in projects including:

  • The Ten Commandments Doc series with Ronal Fisher.
  • What’s This Nonsense? with Adi Ashkenazi (Comic doc. series)
  • Good News with Shai Avivi (Drama series)
  • Until the Wedding (Drama series)
  • A Place for Concern (Humor and satire show)

2006-07: Director of two “Character – lines” in the second season of “In Treatment”.

2007: Co-creator and Co-director of “Red Band”, a 2 Season – musical comedy series. Israeli Academy Award for Best Directing, 2009.

2009-10: Director of “Naomi” (Hitparzut X”), an Israeli-French co-produced feature film. Screened during International Critics’ Week in Venis Film Festival 2010. (Released in France)

2010: Director of 2 seasons on the Israeli adaptation of the BBC series “The Office”.  Won the Israeli Academy Award for Best Directing, 2011.

2013: Director of “Profile 64”, a comedy series.

2015: Director of Season 1 of “The Good Cop”, a comedy series (Aired on Netflix, with an American remake on Netflix)

2017: Co-director of “Himalaya Recon”, a 55-minute documentary.

2018-19: Co-creator and director of “Asylum City”, a political thriller series. Screened at the “International Panorama” in Series Mania Festival 2019.  (Also aired on Canal+ in France)

2020-21: Director of “The Store That Has Everything”, a musical comedy – Series

2021: Director of “Zero Hour”, a drama series.

  • Won Best Drama Series at Canne series Festival (2022).
  • Won the Israeli Academy Award for Best Drama.
  • Sold to 8 countries.
  • Selected by The New York Times as one of the 10 best foreign series aired in the US in 2024.

2022-23: Co-creator and director of “Aviram Katz”, a thriller dramedy.

2023: Director of Season 2 of “Bull’s Eye, Sweetie”, a satirical comedy.

 

2024: Director of “Coming Soon to Me”, a romantic comedy. (The most-watched drama series in Israel in the past three years)
