Vered Schnabel

Born in Tel Aviv, 1973, Vered grew up in Raanana and attended Oustrovsky high school. She served in the Air Force as a physical training instructor. She graduated from “Koteret” school of media & journalism and earned her BA in Social Science.
After graduating, she began working as a political reporter for the “Tel Aviv” weekly newspaper before moving on to “Tapuz” website as a co- editor, and immediately after, as co- editor of “Woman’s world” (Olam Haisha) a leading woman’s monthly- magazine.

In 2002, she relocated to New York as the NYC correspondence for “Woman’s World” Magazine.
Upon her return to Israel, Vered wrote for “Menta” and “Atmosphere” magazines. At the same time she began developing shows for TV.
Alongside her career in journalism, she began writing a personal column in “TimeOut kids magazine” as well as her own, successful blog that eventually, triggered her debut novel.

In July 2013, her debut Novel “Time To Begin” was published (“Kinneret Zmora Bitan publishing”) and gained excellent reviews.

Her second novel “Nora Ephron’s coffee shop” was published in January 2016 (Kinneret Zmora Bitan)

She is currently writing her third novel

Vered Schnabel lives in Ramat Hashaon, is married to Yaron and mother to Yoav (13), Edo (10) & Naomi (6).
