Mr. Alalu is a cum laude graduate of Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem.

• Director, writer and actor: “Thorn” – short film for YES drama 2015. Haifa Festival 2015.
• Director: “A Love Letter to Cinema”, short film based on a script by Assi Dayan, 2014.

Films and Projects as Student:

Writing and Directing:
“How I killed Rabin” – graduating film, winner of Best Film award at Sam Spiegel in 2011. The film participated in dozens of international festivals and won many prizes, including “Best Original Film” and “Best Screenplay” at the Munich International Student Film Festival 2012, the “Mediterranean Focus” Prize at the International Tel Aviv Festival 2012, Best Film at NIFF Festival in France, Best Film at San Marino Festival. It also participated in the Montreal International Festival, Uppsala Sweden, Kustendorf Festival Serbia, Haifa Film Festival, and Others. The film also won a prize from the “Jerusalem Development Initiative”.

Writing and Directing: “Learn to Live”, video clip for Danny Sanderson. The clip won “Best Clip of the Year” in 2010 from Channel 24.

Writing and Directing: “War TV”, short film. Haifa Festival 2009, Buenos Aires Festival for Political Film in 2011.

Mr. Alalu teaches at the High School of Arts in Jerusalem, Shefayim High School., Ironi Heh, and is a mentor in “Ro’im Rachok” – Promoting Youth Through Documentary Film, sponsored by Keshet
