Dana Elazar-Halevi

Writer, Translator, and Book Editor

Since the mid-nineties, Ms. Elazar-Halevi has fulfilled various roles at Israel’s leading publishing houses, including Head of the Translated Prose Division at Kinneret Zmora-Bitan and Non-Fiction Editor at Keter. From 2005 – 2008 she was the editor of Ma’ariv’s Literary sections, and has taught translation and translation editing at Tel Aviv University and Beit Berl College.
Ms. Elazar-Halevi holds a BA in Arabic Literature and the History of the Middle East, as well as an MA in the History of Education, both from Tel Aviv University. She lives in Tel Aviv with her husband and two children.
To date she has written two books: “Operation Manhattan” and “Operation Berlin” – both part of the series entitled “Secret Missions”, a youth spy novel series (published by Ahuzat Bayit / Yedioth Books). Both have received great critical acclaim and commercial success. The third book in the series, “Operation Cairo”, will be published in 2017.
